WOULD YOU COP THESE AJ1'S WORN BY MJ FOR 20K USD OR IS IT TIME TO HANG UP YOUR SNEAKERHEAD BOOTS?
my intro for this review is set at ewwwwwww! but because Michael Jordan, I will just have to hold my nose and talk about this, lol.
like practically every other thing that concerns celebrities, mere mortals will always line up to purchase any weird thing that is being put out by or just associated with these mini gods they admire,(the air from Kanye West's show was once auditioned for over 50 thousand dollars, I still cringe till this day when I remember that whole episode and still hope to the cosmos that it was just one big fat joke, lmao) and the sneakerhead clan has shown itself as not being one to be left out of these rich people problems, lol.
let's get back to MJ, our focus of today. this epic former basketballer and current boss of the charlotte hornets is getting one his original footwear(they were seen in play on the courts from back in the day) auctioned off by heritage auctions and this whole process will last about 30days.
the Air Jordan one 'Chicago' wearing the Chicago colors is a special pair as it was re-structured to aid Michael Jordan's rehabilitation of his injured left foot back in the day and he actually wore this pair of kicks once during play(dunno if he ever wore em off court) during the 1985-1986 basketball season and the reconstructed version basically just had some sort of ankle support thingy made of leather and velcro with a nylon and aluminum buckle to hold the entire support system structure in place.
heritage auctions, the very vintage auction house which is one of the largest collectibles auctioneers (rich people customized shopping mall 'll say, lol)established in 1976 in Dallas Texas have set the kickoff bid at a whopping $5000 and currently at $20000! as seen on their website and going up (ehrrrm, can you guys like spot me this month's rent from all that?lol).
my question is, what do rich people do with these things though?I can understand a super expensive painting collection to show off on your extra mansion walls(if I were a millionaire nut, i would be extra with everything, lol) or something like that, but a pair of pretty worn sneakers?why?do leave comments below and please help me answer this question or just lets us know what you think of this ongoing auction and do you think you would ever consider buying these?(nope, not me,sorry Michael, lol). check out photos below of the custom made air Jordan 1, happy viewing.
