THE KENDRICK LAMAR X NIKE COLLABORATION BEGINS TO TAKE SHAPE WITH THIS RED CORTEZ

ah, yaaas!MR Cortez is back and he brought another popular friend with him!remember when the dashing Bella Hadid totally melted our hearts when she was the front-runner for the Nike Cortez pack early this year?now Mr humble aka Kendrick Lamar will be getting his very own Nike Cortez sneaker (where is the confetti at?).

Kendrick Lamar who has been very active in the sneakersphere with his partnership with the Reebok brand with which he put out some great kick designs as seen in the Reebok ventilator, classic leather, and club c sneakers,announced his new beginning with the Nike brand in August this year via Twitter (more coins with this new collab is a given, way to go Kendrick, get that money!).



we have been excited since that announcement back in August as we knew our boy Kendrick sure was gonna wow us with some neat designs like we saw in his era with the Reebok brand and finally, we get a peek of what is to expect with his very own personalized sneaker in the Nike Cortez model.

Now sticking him with the Cortez model tagged the 'DAMN TOUR' is super clever of the Nike brand as most of us know, the Cortez has some pretty dope ties with Compton which is also the rap super star's hometown (high five Mr . Nike!).

this Nike Cortez is gonna be put out in one colorway, a red with some black throw in there.the shoe wears Kendrick's K.L initials on it and DAMN written on its tongue, like from his epic album damn (dude brought the heat to that party,and we were like damn!lol).



though this red version is the only official one out there in the open, there are pretty legit rumors (lol, legit rumors? wow, I never thought I would see the day) of a black and white colorway on its way, when will all that be?heck if I know, but do watch this space for more on that info and do tell us what you think of this upcoming release in the comments and don't forget to make sure these babies fly off the shelves upon its release all ya Compton folks and Kendrick Lamar fans.photos below, enjoy.

Okay so in addition to the very colourful and refreshing 'BE TRUE' pack and the Nike lebron 13 low in two colorways put out by Nike yesterday, the 1st of June 2017,the Nike brand also brought back its first ever running shoes, the nick Cortez,45 years late in its same design, which passes for both a running shoe as well as a lifestyle pair. The Nike Cortez comes back in four colour ways, the Nike Cortez Oregon pack which comes in a pack of two colorways,'yellow/gorge green' and 'gorge green/yellow' for a retail price of $80,the Nike Cortez OG in a 'white/varsity royal-varsity red' colorway for $80 and finally, the Nike Cortez nylon premium ivory pine green, also for $80.Photos of all four colorways below to help you decide which is most cop worthy and please do let us know what you think of the Nike Cortez in the comment section.
